Our Story

Bendistillery has been crafting spirits in Bend, Oregon since 1996, helping lay the foundation for what American craft distilling looks like today. From day one, our focus has been simple: make high-quality spirits with a sense of place, and do it right.

We’re the team behind the Crater Lake Spirits brand—building it from the ground up into one of the most recognizable and locally loved spirit lines in the Pacific Northwest. From vodka and gin to flavored expressions and ready-to-drink cocktails, the lineup became known for its approachability, consistency, and connection to Central Oregon. What started as a small, craft-driven idea grew into a brand found on back bars, store shelves, and in homes across the country.

As the brand expanded, so did its impact—helping introduce more people to craft spirits, supporting local partnerships, and becoming a staple in the region’s drinking culture.

In 2026, we made the decision to sell the Crater Lake Spirits brand line to Hood River Distillers. While ownership has changed, production has not. Every bottle is still made right here at our distillery in Bend, Oregon—by the same team, with the same attention to quality that built the brand in the first place.

Today, Bendistillery continues to focus on what we do best: producing exceptional spirits, pushing new ideas forward, and staying rooted in the place that started it all.
